MEMORY SHARE: 12 OF BEETROOT EVENT (May)

JEMA'GRETHY MEMORY SHARE

The caves of Jema'grethy will allow for a few different ways for memories to be interacted with. But for most, such as those entering in bonds, it will be seen like a vision in their head, putting them in the position and perspective of whose memory it is.

For people sharing bond memories, and also memories being shared while moving through the Memory Cave, this is the spot to place said memories! It's not necessary if you'd like to write it during the thread, but hopefully convenient for others. Just make a toplevel with your character's name in the header, and remember to include any content warnings thereafter for each memory, as applicable!

Collecting a village | CW: a number of off screen deaths

White blankets everything in the village. All signs of life have disappeared under the untouched snow. The doorways of houses are blocked by the build up. Daggers of ice hang from the roof eaves. Everything is still and quiet. Thanatos hovers high above, dressed in his usual black garb. He points his scythe at the village below. A purple magic circle expands to encompass every building. Then, Thanatos raises his scythe and slashes the air before him. Purple light fills the area, and when the lights fade, everything appears as it was.

Thanatos descends, stowing away his scythe and pulling out a small, unremarkable pouch. Metal jingles inside it. There's no emotion on his face as he moves from house to house. As he leaves each, a pale blue butterfly flutters weakly near him, and he's surrounded by a cloud of butterflies by the time he leaves the final building of the village. The pouch, once full, is now empty. Thanatos extends his gauntleted hand; the butterflies perch on it. They vanish as Thanatos shifts to the Underworld.

Upon the shore, Charon awaits with oar in hand. He groans at Thanatos and the large number of butterflies. One by one, they turn into confused, robed shades of all sizes. "Sssskkk nraaauggh?"

"No, they all succumbed to illness or cold. There is no one left." Thanatos watches the remaining shades take form, checking that all are accounted for on his assignment list.

Charon holds out his hand expectantly as a shade at comes closer. A golden obol rests in her ghostly palm. He takes the coin and turns it in his fingers. It's marked with the symbol for the House of Hades. "Hrrrnnngghhh...?"

Thanatos simply turns his head slightly in Charon's direction. "Hm? Someone passing through must have left it. How fortunate for them."

"Nnngggraauggh."

"As long as there's payment for service given, right? It's all the same in the parchmentwork." Thanatos tucks away his list and makes to leave. "I'm running behind. See you at the next delivery, Brother." Thanatos shifts away in flash and bell toll.

Charon gives a final grumble and begins to usher shades onto his boat.
