MEMORY SHARE: 12 OF BEETROOT EVENT (May)

JEMA'GRETHY MEMORY SHARE

The caves of Jema'grethy will allow for a few different ways for memories to be interacted with. But for most, such as those entering in bonds, it will be seen like a vision in their head, putting them in the position and perspective of whose memory it is.

For people sharing bond memories, and also memories being shared while moving through the Memory Cave, this is the spot to place said memories! It's not necessary if you'd like to write it during the thread, but hopefully convenient for others. Just make a toplevel with your character's name in the header, and remember to include any content warnings thereafter for each memory, as applicable!

Freeing Death | CW: injury, past self-harm, blood (ichor), box trauma

Ares pries off the top of a small, ornate chest, and he scowls at the tiny, shackled godling he pulls out. Thanatos has hollow golden eyes and long matted hair of clouded moonlight. He looks up seeing and hearing nothing but also too much all at once. Everything feels too open and too enclosed. Tarnished gold stain his ragged nails, his forehead, his knees, his mouth, and one wrist below the shackle. No visible injury remains of the godling. His injuries have since healed while inside the chest.

"To think that something as important as death would be put into the hands of a--" Ares stops mid-sentence as he sees the chest's lid and takes in the young god's state with new understanding. The lid's underside is gouged with lines stained with tarnished gold, like a beast tried to claw its way to freedom. The ichor at the godling's wrist and mouth tell of another attempt. As do the other stains upon his person.

Death had fought his captivity as long as his body could manage, trapped on the surface and pulled thin in every direction. Thanatos attention falls on Ares. An Olympian. He was rescued by an Olympian, by War. His family... they didn't come for him....

Ares's expression changes, and he bows. "My Lord Death. I am at your service."

"I need to get back to work," says a weak voice hoarse from screaming. Only Lord Hades can remove these chains. He takes a shaky step towards the door like he expects to walk the whole way. The chains around Thanatos's wrist clink heavily. "Need to reach the Styx. If I fall into the waters, they can take me to the Underworld."

"That is no way for one such as yourself to travel. I'll call for Hermes. I understand he is familiar with the Stygian Boatman." Ares steadies Thanatos with more kindness and gentleness than Thanatos expects. "What else might I do for you."

If the matter of getting home, getting back to work was settled, Thanatos could think of only one more thing in his hazy mind.

"Find where Sisyphus ran off to. And let me know when you do."
