MEMORY SHARE: 12 OF BEETROOT EVENT (May)

JEMA'GRETHY MEMORY SHARE

The caves of Jema'grethy will allow for a few different ways for memories to be interacted with. But for most, such as those entering in bonds, it will be seen like a vision in their head, putting them in the position and perspective of whose memory it is.

For people sharing bond memories, and also memories being shared while moving through the Memory Cave, this is the spot to place said memories! It's not necessary if you'd like to write it during the thread, but hopefully convenient for others. Just make a toplevel with your character's name in the header, and remember to include any content warnings thereafter for each memory, as applicable!

It should be a relief to be here. It's late in the year - you've missed the apple harvest - but the snows haven't started falling yet, and you've all arrived safely in Arkwood today, which means family dinner tonight.

It should be a celebration. The family has been reunited again - Endon and Orion, their mother and sister, the friends of their fathers who'd helped raise them, and you, the healer they've made their youngest brother - and everyone is home safe. There's even lamb on the table, a rare treat this time of year.

But there's an uneasiness in the air that the celebration, gentle and warm as it is, can't smooth over entirely. Nobody here knows why you're late, but that you were this late at all is cause enough for concern. The whole story will come out after dinner - it always does, when there's a story that needs telling.

But you know why you were late. So does Endon. So does Orion.

And Endon is quieter than usual tonight, even for him. And Orion's smile, normally as bright and warm as he is, isn't reaching his eyes.

And you-

You know this is Torren's fault, poisoning them from beyond the grave, because even dead he won't leave you alone-

You're quiet in an attempt to keep your own poison in check. You hadn't at the tribunal after Torren's death, but they had asked. That had been the place and time for it. Family dinner...isn't.

Lia leans over in a way that is not at all subtle and whispers in your ear in a way that is not at all quiet, promising you her famous hot chocolate tonight if you can tell her the full story - as much of it as is yours to tell, anyway. You nod, and she nudges your shoulder with hers before straightening back up. It's support, in her own way, and while you don't exactly feel better, she's at least managed to take the edge off.

You turn your attention back to your dinner and let the conversation flow past you, hampered as it is by the unanswered questions in the air. The lamb is good, and you don't want it to get cold.
