MEMORY SHARE: 12 OF BEETROOT EVENT (May)
JEMA'GRETHY MEMORY SHARE
The caves of Jema'grethy will allow for a few different ways for memories to be interacted with. But for most, such as those entering in bonds, it will be seen like a vision in their head, putting them in the position and perspective of whose memory it is.
For people sharing bond memories, and also memories being shared while moving through the Memory Cave, this is the spot to place said memories! It's not necessary if you'd like to write it during the thread, but hopefully convenient for others. Just make a toplevel with your character's name in the header, and remember to include any content warnings thereafter for each memory, as applicable!

Genjo Sanzo
Memory Bond With Koumyou Sanzo
24 Hour - Ending up Way Longer Than I Expected It To /Sob
Toated in a large decorated Tibetan gown, that small girl was the living goddess herself. The Kumari, Taruche.
Taruche seemed to be sneering, lifting her head so that even someone with such a small frame as she would look down at all those standing opposed to her. Reaching out and pointing her prayer wheel at Genjo and the group of rough young men gathered behind him. "Then show me how you defeat the 'god' standing in your way, right here, right now. You, who go against the divine, will open the path to your resolution."
"Please wait, Kumari Taruche!" A woman Shouted out, startled by the sudden escalating situation between the Kumari and the Sanzo Party. She was more distinct than most others in the room, covered in scars and robes and furs of all sorts, but perhaps what was most distinct about her was the scripture that hung over her shoulders. The Kouten Scripture. Sharak Sanzo.
"Eh? Are we supposed to fight that goddess?" The shortest member in the room asked, his eyes still wide as he backed up slightly, completely taken aback by the situation. Son Goku, idiot monkey that he was, was always best at ruining a serious moment. Not that Sanzo could judge. The twerp was perhaps the most sentimentally closest person to him out of everyone here. The constantly hungry brat that he found on top of a mountain and proceeded to raise.
On the other hand, the young clean looking man with a monocle beside him seemed to carry quite a severe expression. He was a close ally of Genjo's, someone he'd trusted with his life for many years. A criminal that Genjo had taken in under his ward but had long since attempted to release. For some reason, the bastard just refused to leave his side. Cho Hakkai. "We can't let our guard down. Surprisingly, it's a well-known theory that the small elderly types are quite strong."
"You're going to turn your fists against this lovely and beautiful girl?" Taruche seemed quite offended by the mere concept. "I'm withdrawing."
Never had Genjo wanted to punch a little girl in the face as much as he had at that very moment.
Goku, though, made his confusion apparent. "Then what do--"
" It's finally my turn." A disembodied voice seemed to speak out, one that did not belong to anyone in the room. At least, that was what Sanzo had thought.
But before he knew it, the lion that stood beside the Kumari was no longer a lion. Instead, in its place sat what appeared to be a thin shaggy, looking youkai. His features were obscured mainly by the dark glasses and bandanna he wore. They did not hide the playful and frankly aggravating smirk he was sporting.
"It's a youkai!?" The tallest of the group, a redhead hanyou, was quick to vocalize what everyone was thinking. Well... Almost everybody. Sha Gojyo was loud and obnoxious, and Genjo had no idea why the idiot was so stubborn about trailing along with the rest of them. But at least he made a good meat shield.
"No," Genjo responded. He had felt it the moment Taruche had busted in through that window. "He's the source of that unique aura I felt from the beginning."
"It's the first time we've met face-to-face, Genjo Sanzo Party," The mysterious man responded, not once dropping that intimidating smile.
"This man's name is Sai Tai Sai. Now, he looks like this, but he is an official envoy from the heavens. In short, what we from the Lower World call a 'god,'" Taruche continued, her expression seeming to go back to the initially serious tone she had when she first arrived.
"'Looking like that' was an unnecessary thing to say," Sai Tai Sai retorted as he pulled out a long pipe, taking a slow puff while his smile strained slightly. "Usually, it's strictly forbidden to reveal one's identity to the target. However, when a goddess from the Lower World petitions, I have no choice but to listen."
'Target'? That word had managed to catch Genjo's attention. Were they targets for this god for some reason? What was his objective?
"In short, this old man will be our obstacle?" Gojyo was the first to speak up. His expression strained as he seemed to be considering the prospect of the strange man who just 'appeared' in front of them.
"That's right," Taruche continued. "If you can't defeat this single man, you absolutely won't be able to defeat the War God, Genjo Sanzo Party."
"Is it no problem for me to attack?" Sai Tai Sai asked, curiously turning to look back at Taruche.
"If they die, that's all they were," Taruche responded—speaking with the air of someone who expects them to die regardless.
Before their conversation could continue, Genjo drew his gun. He knew what this was leading to, and there was no need for petty semantics like this. And in turn, the rest of his men acted. A large monks' spade appeared in Gojyo's hands as quickly as a staff had appeared in Goku's.
That was right.
The fight had already begun.
He was quick to fire at the 'god,' only for the bastard to seemingly vanish in mid-air before the bullet could even reach its destination. Only leaving a damaged desk in the wake of both his gunfire and Gojyo's blade.
"... He disappeared," Goku mumbled out, stupified.
"Where'd he go!?" Gojyo screamed out, already seeming to be searching for his missing opponent.
"Victory goes to the one who makes the first move," His voice had been heard before any of them had seen him. But somehow, miraculously, Sai Tai Sai seemed to suddenly appear, comfortably seated on a chair nestled between the group of them, taking the entire Sanzo Party by surprise.
Goku swings his staff, only for Sai Tai Sai to easily dodge the swing with a simple duck.
"Attacking without regard to one's appearance. That style is--" Sanzo attempted to shoot once more. There was no way the bastard could dodge at such close range.
But before he knew it, the 'god' was gone. His voice seemed to come from above them as he continued his sentence.
"--Not bad."
Hanging upside down from the ceiling, Sai Tai Sai looked down upon them. His feet revealed to be what looked like bird talons as they hooked around the ceiling scaffolding.
"He's a tricky opponent, isn't he?" Hakkai spoke out, quickly charging his ki before blasting it out in one bright flash of light towards the ceiling. Only for Sai Tai Sai to dodge easily by simply letting go of the scaffolding once again.
Sanzo and Gojyo attempted to strike once more in tandem as he fell, only for the strangest of sights to occur.
There, right before the entire group of them, Sai Tai Sai's arms seemed to shift. No longer resembling the arms of any human or youkai, but instead the wings of a hawk as, with one grat motion of them, he dodged to the side of their attack in mid-air. But Gojyo's weapon was unique, the chain of his spade seeming to move on its own in mid-air as it circled and wrapped around the god. And for once, Sai Tai Sai seemed a bit startled.
Only to just as quickly vanish once more before Gojyo's weapon could fully wrap around its opponent.
Where did he--
"It's a kiss," Sanzo heard his voice before he could spot him. Turning quickly only to spot Goku behind him. The young man's eyes were wide in shock as a tiny mouse sat perched at the end of his bow staff. Naturally, Goku attempted to swing the rodent off, but it was too late.
It vanished again.
"He disappeared again," Goku muttered, absolutely stunned.
"Hey! Don't hide!" On the other hand, Gojyo seemed to be aggravated by the whole situation. "Come out, you shitty mouse!!"
But there was a problem. Genjo had felt it from the start. Something no one else seemed to be recognizing. No, Sai Tai Sai wasn't vanishing. Not at all. Sanzo could still feel him. His presence was faint... But it was still there.
"I'm not hidden," A small voice echoed out, the buzz of a bee making itself known just beside Genjo's ear.
Genjo instinctively shot in that direction, causing Sai Tai Sai to shift back to the form he started in. "You have weak defenses. If I were a poisonous bee, you would have easily died."
"You bastard. What happened to that counterattack of yours!? Where is it!?" His aggravation reaching its limits, Gojyo grabbed the nearest thing he could, an ashtray, Throwing it violently, as hard as he could with all the unnatural strength he had, towards Sai Tai Sai's head.
"Ah. That's right," But the ashtray stopped in mid-air. It was floating on its own just before the god. Gojyo's words seemed to have caught Sai Tai Sai's attention. "Then I'll show you something even trickier."
The ashtray casually floated comfortably above his hand. Only for him to extend both his hands out and spread them open. And as he did such, like magic, the ashtray grew. Bigger and bigger until it was the size of a decorative table.
"Haaaaaah!?" Goku screamed out, stupified at this point.
"What is that!? Wait--" Gojyo tried to scream back as if instinctively trying to take back his challenge. They got ready to brace themselves for the inevitable impact as Sai Tai Sai wound his arms back.
Only Sanzo understood how screwed they were. Where the others stood their ground, he was quickly turning away, making a run in hopes of dodging the inevitable impact. "Fall back-- Hakkai!!!"
Never had Sanzo felt so grateful for Hakkai's quick reflexes. The healer quickly grabbed the nearby table they had previously been studying on and kicked it upwards just as the gigantic stone ashtray came flying at them with the speed of a bullet. The table itself smashed in half but cushioned the impact as it sent the group of them flying backward.
At this point, those who were merely onlookers felt the urge to speak out. A tall older, gruff-looking man with a fur hat approached Taruche, Hassan, worriedly calling out for her. But she seemed to hold her dissonant expression as they watched on.
"Interference is useless. Just watch carefully," Was all Taruche had to say on the matter.
Goku was the first to sit up from the rubble. His mouth still gaped as he screamed out energetically. "Can gods do anything!?"
"Let alone tricky. That last part was an illusion," Hakkai interjected. Although the table was indeed damaged, it was only broken through at a specific point—the ashtray sitting on the floor before them once more at its original size.
On the other hand, Sai Tai Sai seemed to be in his own world as he spoke aloud. "Humph. Using things close to them right away is proof of their experience. But more importantly, the four of them are now properly cooperating with each other."
He sat back down on a nearby bench with that, finally bringing his attention back to the rest of them. "I can hardly recognize you from when you first started your journey, Genjo Sanzo Party."
"... What?" There it was again. The implication that Sai Tai Sai had been following them. Genjo stared back at the god as he slowly began to stand up from the rubble.
It was only then that Taruche interjected.
"The duty that Sai Tai Sai was given from the heavens was 'the jailer of Shangri-La.' He's a divine beast under the direct control of Gautama Buddha. For a long time, he has been observing the situation in the Lower World by making good use of multiple mediums along with the power of shapeshifting. This one is Sai Tai Sai's true body."
"I have seen everything with these eyes, Genjo Sanzo Party," Sai Tai Sai continued. "Your whole journey... No. Even before that."
"Eh? ... Gross," Goku balked back. Not that Genjo couldn't understand the sentiment.
"Aren't you just a stalker?"
"Being watched doing this and that?" Gojyo continued in on the teasing with the rest of them. "He's a shitty bastard."
"His existence itself is a notebook with our dark pasts," Hakkai added, his tone oddly more severe than the rest. "We have to dispose of him immediately."
"As I imagine, a terrible response," Sai Tai Sai mumbled. "Although, I know things even you all don't. For example... Genjo Sanzo."
Sanzo grew alert almost immediately with the mention of his name. He was pointing his gun out only for his target to vanish and just as quickly appear right in front of his line of fire.
"Naturally, your dominant hand is left, but," Even as Sai Tai Sai spoke, Genjo had already fired. Only for the god to quickly sidestep the bullet and around the monk. He was smiling as he stood behind him now. "In preparation for the worst-case scenario, you regularly use both arms equally. But still, the attack and response with your right hand is a bit delayed."
Sai Tai Sai kicked into Genjo's side, directly into his still-healing wounds, sending the blonde flying backward, reeling in pain.
Sanzo wasn't entirely sure what had happened next. But he could get a good feel with the bits and pieces he heard. One by one, Sai Tai Sai began to take each member of his group down. Calling out each of their weaknesses as he sent them flying.
But Genjo caught another pair of voices among the screaming and crashing.
"Taruche, this is..." Ah. That was Sharak, wasn't it?
"Certainly, they are strong. They're here because of their considerable efforts and preparedness to survive," Taruche quickly replied. "Not even I want to disregard the path they have taken on their journey. They came here because they fought and overcame their suffering. Just the four of them. That is their greatest strong point, but also their weak point.
If they wish for strength to change the star of fate, what they need now is a 'birds-eye-view.' They need objective instructions from an outsider."
All four of them had been lying in a heap on the floor, barely conscious. Taruche slowly walked forward as she took her stand beside Sai Tai Sai, and she looked down upon them.
"Just as I thought, you would all be ready to give up by tomorrow. Will you really be able to show me a future that even I don't know?"
Gojyo was the first to stand up and talk, "So what... Are you saying that we should get training from this Turtle Hermit? You don't have to bother cause we're not asking."
Taruche could only scoff at his stubborn-headed behavior. "For loafers who were relieved of their duty, it's not like you'd be wasting your time trying. Even if you don't get good results, it will be good exercise."
Hakkai was the next person to speak up, responding in a way not a single one of them, not even Genjo, could predict.
"If you could, please?"
Really? Was this asshole making the decisions for all of them again?
