MEMORY SHARE: 12 OF BEETROOT EVENT (May)

JEMA'GRETHY MEMORY SHARE

The caves of Jema'grethy will allow for a few different ways for memories to be interacted with. But for most, such as those entering in bonds, it will be seen like a vision in their head, putting them in the position and perspective of whose memory it is.

For people sharing bond memories, and also memories being shared while moving through the Memory Cave, this is the spot to place said memories! It's not necessary if you'd like to write it during the thread, but hopefully convenient for others. Just make a toplevel with your character's name in the header, and remember to include any content warnings thereafter for each memory, as applicable!

You roll over with an annoyed huff, awake against your will. Does the train really need to wake them each morning with this announcement? Time hardly seems to mean anything on board. You do chores, exist in uncomfortably cramped quarters, and wait for another mission---if it's all piloting around a space station like last time, it won't be a problem. But you definitely didn't sign up for this.

The one saving grace is that your roommates have disappeared one by one, leaving you a little more space to stretch, but it's unnerving to think about where they went. You're still a little hung over from last night's party (you still can't believe you went to a party, especially in those outfits), but you've worked through splitting headaches before.

Then, unusually, there's a knock on the door. Someone's here to see you. You approach the door with a groan, holding your temple in one hand.

"What do you want---Yugi?" Huh. Your other rival's at the door, looking just as rumpled as you, but there's a twinkle in his eye you haven't really seen before. He's holding a small flat object in his hands. A card?

"Kaiba! I have a gift for you." He sounds so chipper. How does he do it?

"Please tell me it's a painkiller."

"Sure, but that's not the main thing. I got you something special---but you have to promise me you'll keep it."

"That depends if it's worth my time," you grouse, but the bite isn't quite in your bark. How embarrassing that you ended up with a hangover.

"It means a lot to me. And I think it'll mean something to you too. Come on...promise?" Yugi smiles up at you, though his gaze remains imploring.

"...Fine. I promise. Now what is it?" you ask, holding out your hand.

Yugi's smile softens, and he gently places the object in your hand. It's...a Polaroid photograph. Of you and Yugi from last night, slightly buzzed and leaning on each other in those ridiculous neon onesies. You can feel the corner of your eye twitching. You really should've smacked the camera out of that blond's hand.

"...Remember that you don't have to take yourself so seriously all the time. Having fun's good for you," Yugi says gently, letting his hand linger over yours for a moment before pulling back. "Now you promised, remember."

"I did," you admit. A trap you walked into---but Yugi's always been too good at trapping you. "Fine---I'll see you at breakfast."

Yugi smiles and waves as he departs, and you close the door, staring at the photo just a little longer. No...you won't rip it up. Maybe it's all right to keep it by your bedside for a little while. At least...until you figure out that strange feeling that rises in your chest when you look at your faces.
